Wierd Sterk
Wiard Sterk has worked as a curator and commissioner for public art since 1994, following an earlier
career in theatre. He runs his own consultancy, Wiard Sterk Associates, specialising in the integration of art and cultural processes in the public realm and was the founding Executive Director of Safle, an Arts Council of Wales and Cardiff County Council funded agency which promotes and facilitates the commissioning of art.
Wiard is married with three grown up children, lives in Cardiff and is a regular contributor to national and international conferences. He is a Visiting Fellow at the University of Glamorgan and a Fellow of the Institute of Welsh Affairs.
