Sean Blair
Sean was educated at Loughborough College of Art & Design (Foundation Course in Art & Design 1985); University of Northumbria (First Class BA Honours in Design for Industry 1989); Durham University Business School (Graduate Enterprise Programme 1990); and Kellogg, Chicago (Business to Business Marketing Program 1994, and Executive Development Program 1997). He is currently studying environmental economics at the University of Bath.
Sean won an RSA Bursary in the 1987 Student Design Awards, and since 1994 has been a judge in the SDA. From 1989-1995 he was Founder and Principal of Octo Design, an industrial design consultancy. 1989-1995 University of Northumbria Part time Final Year Tutor - Design for Industry. In 1995 Sean was a Member of Council of the Design Council, and from 1995-1999 was Design & Communication Director of the Design Council.
Sean's interests include rock climbing; his Ducati; and cooking. Sean has been a Fellow of the RSA since 1996, and joined Council in 2000.
