Jackie Elliman

Jackie EllimanJackie Elliman's day job is Legal & Industrial Relations manager of the Independent Theatre Council (ITC).  She has worked most of her life in not-for-profit theatre. She retrained as a lawyer fairly recently and now has a job that combines law and theatre.  She works for a management body that supports innovative theatre companies, many of whom work in areas that connect with the RSA's concerns - homelessness, health, young people, disability, environmental issues etc.   She is company secretary of the ITC and also of Jazz Services, an arts charity.  

Jackie is passionate about the law as well as the arts, with a particular interest in Dispute Resolution. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a long serving member of its London Branch Committee.  She is also qualified as a mediator and has introduced mediation to the performing arts sector.

Jackie has served on a diverse range of panels including City University's MA in Arts Management advisory group and the Home Office's Immigration Taskforce for the entertainment sector.  

Within the RSA, Jackie is a member of the London Region Committee and involved with its Youth Awards scheme as a mentor and awards event organiser. She was a member of the Fellowship Council from its inception and served on several of its working groups as well as a member of the Governance Advisory Group.
