Jonathan Rollason
Jonathan has previously been the elected Chair of the London Branch which is a post that can only be held for three years. Jonathan’s career started as an Officer in the British Army where he served in the Logistic Corp. The highlight for Jonathan was two years as bomb disposal officer in London. When he left the Army Jonathan joined the London Stock Exchange as Head of Procurement. After a short spell there Jonathan joined an American investment bank where he became a Managing Director responsible for Global Expense Management. Jonathan then worked for a Japanese investment house responsible for Corporate Client Services across Europe. Five years ago Jonathan bought a small business that helps organisations reduce their cost base. This company now has offices in Kingston, the USA and South Africa.
Jonathan has also been President of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply in the UK. This charity has around 45,000 members. During Jonathan’s tenure he launched the Purchasing Managers Index which is now a leading economic indicator in the UK.
Jonathan is married with two grown up kids and one grandchild. His interests include Arsenal football club, Surrey cricket and amateur dramatics. Jonathan is Chair of an AmDram company in Kingston that has raised over £20,000 for local charities.
Jonathan’s other interests include the Arts, Prison reform, history and travel.
