RBS/RSA Inspiring Enterprise
The RSA is working in partnership with The Royal Bank of Scotland Group (RBS) to help young entrepreneurs explore enterprise and to encourage and enable them to start up and sustain their own business. Over the coming months, we will be working with young people and business support organisations to help make Britain a better place for young enterprise.
Towards the end of 2012, the RSA and RBS commenced their Inspiring Enterprise partnership with workshops in London, Leeds, Bristol and Glasgow. Involving over 120 young entrepreneurs and business support organisations, the aim was to understand the opportunities and challenges that today's entrepreneurs face, and to identify what resources and capabilities they need to thrive.
We will shortly publish a manifesto document that pulls together our findings and provides a number of ideas for how government, support organisations, the corporate sector and others can create the conditions for existing and would-be young entrepreneurs to realise their potential.

| Disrupt inc. To inform the development of the manifesto, we conducted a short piece of associated research that aimed to paint a more vivid picture of the day-to-day lives of young entrepreneurs. Our findings reveal that many young entrepreneurs now start and run businesses in highly unconventional ways, and that some support services have yet to catch up with this changing reality.
