Academies Commission

In partnership with the Pearson Think Tank, this Commission examined the implications of the 'mass academisation' of state schools and the impact this might have on educational outcomes, to develop a practical but compelling vision for the future of UK academisation. Chaired by Christine Gilbert, the Commission brought together a breadth of perspectives and a wealth of experience with Commissioners drawn from across the political spectrum, academia, private and third sectors.  The programme is supported by The Co-operative Group and CfBT Education Trust.
