Hosted by the RSA's
Social Brain project, this discussion will explore the nature of undertaking altruistic acts, in particular, organ donation.
Does true altruism exist or do we give in the knowledge that someday, we might need to receive? What are the barriers and triggers to organ donation, and how can donation be 'normalised' to make signing up to the NHS Organ Donor Register the default choice for the majority of the UK population?
Panel to include:

Professor James Neuberger, associate medical director, NHS Blood and Transplant and Professor of Hepatology, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham and
AC Grayling, Professor of Philosophy, Birkbeck College, University of London
