Matthew Bishop and Michael Green look at the lessons to be learned from the economic crisis and set out an economic reform agenda for the Coalition government.

Their new work The Road from Ruin examines the root causes of the economic crisis and charts a path forward which includes the need to rethink economics; the need to redesign global governance; the need to put values back into business; and the need to promote increased financial literacy and a society of competent economic citizens.

Speakers: Matthew Bishop, US Business Editor and New York Bureau Chief of The Economist; Michael Green, a writer, consultant and co-author, with Matthew Bishop, of Philanthrocapitalism: how giving can save the world and The Road from Ruin: a new capitalism for a Big Society (A&C Black, 2011).
