RSA Keynote

The Social Investment Task Force carried out a ten-year assessment of the ways in which the UK could achieve a radical improvement in its social fabric, including its capacity to create wealth, economic growth, and employment for the poorest members of society.

Its final report highlights some considerable achievements – the UK is now the undisputed leader of social investment, and flagship projects like the big society bank and social impact bonds are successful models for the rest of the world to follow.

In addition, the report outlines some important policy recommendations for the future, and challenges the current government to build on progress that has been made to date.

Sir Ronald Cohen visits the RSA to elaborate on these findings, and to reflect on ten years of effecting social change.

Speaker: Sir Ronald Cohen, founder and chairman of The Portland Trust, Bridges Ventures, and director of Social Finance.

Chair: David Carrington, independent consultant and Supervisory Board Member of Triodos Bank NV
