RSA Keynote

At a time of economic crisis and austerity, many people will be forgiven for thinking the environment has disappeared entirely off the political and economic agenda.  But it hasn’t. And it mustn’t.

Join Lord Smith, chairman of the Environment Agency at the RSA as he discusses how and why the environment still matters and why it should be an essential component of economic recovery.  He will argue that the equation between environmental stewardship and economic growth – whilst not always easy to do – is essential.

Respondents: Matthew Spencer, director, Green Alliance; and Matthew Brown, head of energy and climate change, CBI will both respond to Lord Smith’s presentation

Chair: Matthew Taylor, chief executive, RSA
