RSA Keynote

Bill Drayton, the world’s best-known social entrepreneur and founder of Ashoka: Innovators for the Public visits the RSA to discuss the key skills that every person must learn and practice in order to succeed and contribute meaningfully in a world defined by rapid change.

The old paradigm of growing up was mastering society’s knowledge and rules.  In a static society, that was adequate, but it is not any longer.  In a world defined by escalating change, today’s young people have to have the skills to be able to contribute to change if they are going to be real players 10 or 15 years hence (and if their society is going to be able to compete in that new world).

Changemaking is the cornerstone of human behavior and the foundation of innovation. In order to solve the entrenched systemic problems in the 21st century we will need this highly sophisticated level of empathetic skill.

Join Bill Drayton as he illustrates this significant insight with moving examples and concrete tools to inspire and activate you.

Chair: Matthew Taylor, chief executive, The RSA.
