RSA at Party Conferences 2009
Public Services in a cold climate - what should be the priorities?
The RSA and the 2020 Public Services Trust is hosting three events at this year's party conferences on the issue of public services and public spending cuts. As the three main political parties continue to debate public spending and with financial experts such as the IFS (Institute For Fiscal Studies) predicting a 7 percent cut in real terms from 2011, the RSA have invited Vince Cable MP, Lord Mandelson and Philip Hammond MP to explore spending priorities.
The events will be supported by a specially commissioned survey of public attitudes and preferences on cuts compiled by IPSOS Mori.
These events are sponsored by ATOS Origin.
