John Cassy
John Cassy is Channel Director of Sky Arts channels.
Cassy, began as Channel Manager at the then named Artsworld, in May 2004.
During that time Sky Arts has evolved into a portfolio of four arts channels offering the best of contemporary and traditional arts – in both High Definition and standard digital broadcasting.
Key channel partners include The Hay Festival, Artichoke, producers of Anthony Gormley’s One & Other project in Trafalgar Square, London.
Cassy joined Sky in June 2003 to work on a range of commercial projects for the then Sky chief executive Tony Ball.
Prior to joining Sky, he worked as a journalist at The Guardian and The Express newspapers.
He has a degree in Social and Political Science from St John’s College, Cambridge.
John recently returned from a six month secondment in New York working with the Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones, following News Corp's acquisition of the newspaper publisher.
