Sally Anne Anderson

Sally Anne Anderson is a violinist in the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and is the Artistic Director of In Harmony Liverpool, which is managed by the Liverpool Phil. In Harmony is a DCSF-funded community development programme aimed at using music in the form of the symphony orchestra to bring positive change to the lives of very young children in some of the most deprived areas of England.

Sally Anne studied violin performance at the Royal Academy of Music in London graduating with a Bachelor of Music and subsequently with a DipRAM. Sally Anne then had a further year of study in Berlin.

As a member of Live Music Now Sally Anne could combine performing and music education and since joining the Liverpool Phil Sally Anne has been heavily involved in its learning programme, working in schools, Sure Start Centres and in the West Everton Community as Artistic Director of In Harmony Liverpool. For 10 Years Sally Anne taught on the First String Experience course at the Junior Royal Academy of Music and it is from here that her passion for the benefits of children participating in group string playing developed.

Sally has performed and toured with orchestras including the BBC Philharmonic and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.
