Will Gompertz

Will Gompertz was recently appointed to the newly-created arts editor role at the BBC. Previously, Will was a director at Tate Gallery where he was responsible for Tate Media Productions, Tate Online, Tate Etc magazine, and the Long Weekend performance art festival and design.

Will has also served as the editor of culture-shot.co.uk, an online arts and entertainment newsletter, and is a past board member of the National Campaign for the Arts. Will has written about the arts for over 15 years. He founded Shots magazine in 1990 and has produced several programmes about the arts, the most recent of which was the documentary Taken For A Ride, for Channel 4. Will was recently voted one of the world's top 50 creative thinkers by the New York based Creativity Magazine.
