Paul Allin heads one of the analysis and reporting divisions in the UK Office for National Statistics.
He is responsible for a range of statistics, including on the labour market, social wellbeing and Social Trends. Paul is a Chartered Statistician and has worked in a range of government departments and agencies, including as the chief statistician and head of social policy in the Department for Culture, Media and Sport. Early in his career, he set up the Statistics Unit in the Equal Opportunities Commission. Paul is actively involved in the Royal Statistical Society and chairs the RSS South Wales group.
