Amanda Blue has been producing and directing a broad range of documentary films for over 10 years.
Amanda directed and produced the documentary series, YOUNG BLACK FARMERS (for Channel 4), about a group of inner-city black teenagers going to live and work on a Devonshire farm, for which she won both international and domestic awards. Following this, Amanda made the critically acclaimed three-part series, THE MUMMY DIARIES (for Channel 4), about how dying mothers prepare their children for a future without them. In 2008, she produced and directed the award-winning two-part series for BBC2 about former Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott, his inimitable wife Pauline and their journey through the British class system – PRESCOTT: The Class System and Me. Amanda was nominated for a Bafta for Best Director for the series.
