Dr Titi Banjoko is a healthcare manager with a clinical background.
Over the last 12 years she has successfully advocated the use of Diaspora capital as a developmental tool in Africa through AfricaRecruit a project she pioneered in 2000. Dr Banjoko serves on the Migrant Advisory Board of The European Commission-UN Joint Migration and Development Initiative, Member of United Kingdom, Department for International Development Global Poverty Action Fund (GPAF) advisory board; steering group member of the Africa UK project dedicated to enhancing the contribution of the Diaspora to Africa’s development, member of the selection panel of the International Health Links Funding Scheme run by the Tropical Health and Education Trust (THET), and is a Fellow and currently a member of the advisory board of the Nigeria Leadership Initiative, a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. Previous roles includes member of the Health Worker Global Policy Advisory Council and Executive board Commonwealth Business Women's Network.
Dr Banjoko has received numerous awards such as the 2006 Ethnic – Corporate European Federation of Black Women Business Owners award, Black Business Awards 2005 and Best of Nigeria 2004. She was named by the United Kingdom Independence Newspaper (21st September 2006) as one of the Pride of a continent: Africa's gifts to the world under the Business section.
