Matt Bell is the director of education and external affairs for the Commission for Architecture for the Built Environment (CABE).

Matt leads CABE’s work to motivate consumers and young people to learn about and demand good design. He is responsible for the delivery of resources and programmes that help teachers use the built environment to inspire learning about any subject at any age. This includes an annual Green Day, which last year involved 120,000 pupils looking at climate change and the built environment. Matt is also responsible for CABE’s programmes of work to influence government policy on housing, public space and the procurement of schools and healthcare buildings, and leads engagement with the house building industry.
