Sasha Blackmore is a barrister. She works primarily for Lord Scott of Foscote and Baroness Hale of Richmond, the first (and only) female Law Lord. She has a particular interest in environmental-related matters (in public, property and planning law) and in public law generally. She won the United Kingdom Environmental Law Association's (Lord Slynn of Hadley) mooting competition in 2005, the year she was called to the Bar.

 

Sasha was a scholar of Forum for the Future in 2001-2. Prior to commencing practice at Landmark Chambers, Sasha held a Kennedy Fellowship at Harvard University. She also worked as a researcher at Baker & McKenzie in their clean energy and emissions trading practice group and at the New Economics Foundation on international debt issues. She is also a trustee of a small educational charity providing scholarships to African students who cannot afford to continue their education. Her undergraduate degree was in history.
