Gerard Darby is a trainer and writer with a background in fostering enterprise.
In 2002 he co-founded Head for Business: an enterprise support programme that provides training, coaching and mentoring for young people starting a venture in the creative industries.
He was the first RSA Onians Fellow for which he undertook qualitative research with 44 young entrepreneurs to understand their background, motivations, characteristics and challenges. In 2004, in follow up research, he examined the barriers that young entrepreneurs face in sustaining and growing an enterprise in the UK.
