John Howkins is an internationally renowned consultant and thinker on creativity. In a long and varied career he has worked in film, TV, digital media and publishing, and advised multinationals, international organisations and governments in more than thirty countries. He has written several books, including the acclaimed The Creative Economy (2001). His latest, Creative Ecologies, was published last year.
John is a visiting professor at both City University in London and the Shanghai School of Creativity, and is a member of the board of the Arts and Humanities Research Council
