Professor Patrick Haggard is a neuroscientist at the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience and Department of Psychology, University College London.

Patrick Haggard obtained a BA Hons in Experimental Psychology from Cambridge University in 1987, he received a Harkness Fellowship to study at Yale University from 1987 to 1988 and subsequently obtained his PhD at Cambridge University in 1991. He received a Wellcome Trust Prize Fellowship (1991-1994) for research at Oxford University Physiology Dept and was a Junior Research Fellow at Christ Church, Oxford.

He was a lecturer (1995-1998) and then senior lecturer (1998 -2002) in the Psychology Department at University College, London. He was awarded a Leverhulme Research Fellowship for the period 2001-2003 and is presently Reader in Cognitive Neuroscience at University College, London. He has published in the fields of cognitive neuroscience and experimental study of behaviour.
