Sarah Ichioka is Director of The Architecture Foundation, the UK’s leading independent architecture centre and Co-Director of the London Festival of Architecture.
Ichioka chaired the advisory panel for the 2010 British Pavilion at Venice and has served on juries including the European Prize for Urban Public Space and the UK Young Architect of the Year Award. Ichioka was Consultant Curator for the exhibition Global Cities at Tate Modern and Exhibition Content Coordinator for the 10th Venice Architecture Biennale, for which she also co-edited the catalogue.
Amongst other previous roles, Ichioka has been a founding Research Associate of the Urban Age, an interdisciplinary project investigating the future of global cities, and a Community Development Fellow at New York City’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development. She trained at Yale University, the University of Paris and the London School of Economics & Political Science.
