Dr Claire Melamed is the Head of Policy Coordination at Action Aid UK.
Action Aid UK is part of Action Aid International, a unique partnership of people in over 50 countries who work together to end poverty. Before joining Action Aid, Claire spent eight years working on trade and private sector issues for Christian Aid. Claire has also worked for the United Nations, taught at the Open University and the University of London, and has a PhD from the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London. Claire is the author of ‘Adjusting Africa’, published by Worldview publications, and numerous articles on development, trade and globalisation.
