Hamish Mykura is the Head of More4.

He joined Channel 4 in 2001 as commissioning editor for history, before becoming head of history in 2003 and subsequently head of specialist factual. He was appointed head of documentaries in February this year.

During his time as head of documentaries, Mykura has been in charge of the channel's long-running strand Cutting Edge.

He has also overseen programmes including Diana: The Witnesses In the Tunnel, The Human Footprint, Richard Dawkins' Enemies of Reason and the feature-length historical drama The Relief of Belsen.

Before joining Channel 4, Mykura was head of programmes at Blakeway Productions. He has also been a series producer at Mentorn and worked for 10 years at the BBC.
