Thomas Neumark is associate director for the Connected Communities project at the RSA, examining the role of on-line and off-line social networks in building resilient, empowered communities and promoting mental well-being.

Prior to joining the RSA, Thomas worked as a policy lead on community empowerment at the Community Development Foundation. There he produced reports on informal approaches to citizenship education, culture change within public sector organisation, subjective feelings of empowerment and an evaluation of the impact of the government's community empowerment programmes.

Thomas has a MSc in Housing and Regeneration (Social Policy) from the LSE, an MPhil in Intellectual History and Political Thought from Cambridge University and a BA Hons in History from Oxford University.
