Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu is a Nobel Peace Laureate, and one of the greatest living moral icons of our time. He was a key role player in the fight against apartheid in South Africa and the chair of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. Archbishop Tutu is chairman of a group of former world leaders called The Elders, launched on Nelson Mandela's 89th birthday in 2007, with the aim of tackling some of the world's most pressing problems.
