Magnus Temple

Magnus Temple is a managing director of Firefly.  He has 13 years experience in factual programming and before establishing Firefly was one of the UK’s most sought-after and respected directors.

He began his career making award-winning corporate films before moving into broadcast television.  Since 1998 Magnus has produced and directed more than 20 hours of high profile documentaries for BBC1, 2, 3 and 4, Channel 4 and Five.

His BBC4 film about the computer game Tetris was nominated for Grierson and Indie awards and while at Mentorn he produced two prime-time series for the BBC including the critically acclaimed Compulsion for BBC2.

Since founding Firefly, his executive producer credits have included Anatomy For Beginners, Armed Robbery Orgasm and Hostage Tapes for Channel 4, The Tony Martin Story for BBC1, The Thieving Headmistress for BBC2, When Britain Went Bananas, Censored at the Seaside and Beryl's Last Year for BBC4, Pompeii Live! for Five and Life or Death for Discovery.
