As the Leveson Inquiry gets into its stride it is clear that the outcome will be some form of new regulation of the behaviour of the news industry.
John Lloyd, director of journalism at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at Oxford University (RISJ) discusses proposals for reform with Hugh Tomlinson QC, who has drawn up proposals for reform following the RISJ/Media Standards Trust Roundtables on Future Media Regulation, and Guy Black, member of the House of Lords who has been closely involved in the development of the Press Complaints Commission thinking on future systems of regulation.
