Social Media Surgery, Chelmsford
29th Mar 2010
Chelmsford Library, Market Road, Chelmsford, CM1 1LH.
This is part of the RSA digital engagement programme, providing small social media surgeries across the UK. The event is free and we welcome Fellows (and their colleagues) who would benefit from advice and support.
Are you interested in getting involved with the RSA and engaging online with other Fellows in your area via social media e.g. RSA East of England, Twitter, Facebook and other social media tools?
Are you currently involved in a local project that would benefit from an online space?
Are you interested in setting up a website that engages with the wider community?
Do you have Social Media skills and are you prepared to mentor others Fellows?
If you would like to attend please think about……….
What online tools, applications, or internet platforms have you used before or are you familiar with?
What online tools would you like to learn more about?
What specific projects or challenges would you like to address using new technologies?
Social media tools do not replace the need for face to face connections but can complement them, saving time and resources. This event will have an informal workshop structure and provide examples and basic training in various online tools such as Twitter, blogs, online networking sites and forums. In addition the programme provides an online resource for all participants to share their knowledge, skills and tips.
If you would like to attend or simply want to know more about the programme please do not hesitate to contact Clare Reilly
Refreshments will be provided but you will need to make your own arrangements for travel. A limited number of computers are available at the venue, so it would be helpful if you can bring your own laptop (Wifi enabled) if you have one.
