Chelmsford Town Centre Partnership Conference
11th Sep 2009; 09:30
Fellows are invited to support the RSA East of England region by attending this free event. It represents the culmination of efforts by RSA staff and Fellows to develop a partnership with other organisations and local authorities. The success of this RSA initiative depends upon the contribution of Fellows, living and working in the East of England: though centred on Chelmsford we are developing a model for community engagement that can influence other towns in the region.
We have two complementary aims. The first involves working with Borough and County Councils, to influence the future shape of the Town Centre. An exciting element of this being the urban territory project: where the RSA is collaborating with Writtle College, on designs for the Chelmsford riversides. The second aim is to promote community engagement through a Forum, representing local interests and supported by the Essex Design Initiative and Chelmsford Borough Council.
We have received national recognition from the RSA and as you will see from the attached programme that Matthew Taylor, Chief Executive is keynote speaker at the conference.
