Topsail Charters Ltd. ‘Barge Cruise’, Ipswich

The cruise organised last year on the Hydrogen was oversubscribed. We offer you the opportunity to sail again, this time on the Thames Sailing Barge SB Kitty.

The cruise will board at 11.30 a.m. to sail at noon from the Old Customs House, Ipswich through Ipswich Dock with its fascinating mixture of old and new architecture to the lock gates and on to the river Orwell.

It will move under the eye-catching Orwell Bridge, past Woolverstone and Pin mill, to Harwich Harbour and Felixstowe, one of the busiest shipping lanes in Europe, which is a hive of activity and interest.

Ploughmans Lunch and Pudding is served en route.  Return is at approximately 4 p.m. after a four hour cruise. The bar is open throughout the trip.

Cost £33 per person.

The closing date for booking is Friday 22 May. Places are limited, book early to avoid disappointment using the booking form.
