The Culture Wars and Changing IP Models for a You Tube World, global connections, pirating, options of changing business models and debate of societal challenges form the basis of what should prove a provocative and succinct presentation by RSA Fellow Iain Mitchell QC, as he examines the anomalies and weaknesses he perceives in the Digital Economy Bill – legislation which will affect each of us in many diverse ways. He brings to bear his knowledge from the Bar, where he is Chairman of the Scottish Society for Computers and Law and of the Faculty of Advocates IT Group. His expertise stems from a range of past and current academic and relevant appointments including that of Joint Editor of the E-Law Review and the author of the Scottish chapter in Electronic Evidence, Disclosure, Discovery and Admissibility (Butterworths, April 2007) the second edition of which is due for publication in spring 2010.
