Launch of new Bilingualism Advisory Service
29th Sep 2008
Fellows may remember the very successful RSA Scotland/University of Edinburgh event in February 2007 on bilingualism in children at which Professor Antonella Sorace FRSA, reviewed the latest research and the implications of this for bilingual children. On 29 September 2008, Professor Sorace and colleagues launched Bilingualism Matters, a bilingualism advisory service at the University of Edinburgh to bridge the gap between researchers and the community (in particular bilingual families, educators and policy makers) in order to enable more and more children to benefit from bilingualism. The project, called Bilingualism Matters is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council and by the University of Edinburgh's Knowledge Transfer Office.
The report from this incredibly successful event is now available.
