RSA Scotland: Education and Skills Meeting

12th Feb 2009

At the RSA Scotland Conference in November 2007, Fellows identified Education and Skills as a priority area for the RSA's work.  In order to determine how the RSA should enter into this arena, RSA Scotland is facilitating a meeting with Fellows who are interested in contributing to this area, together with those concerned with education and skills in Scotland (including representatives from Learning & Teaching Scotland (LTS), Skills Development Scotland, employers, schools, colleges and universities) and staff from the RSA Opening Minds programme.

Fellows have expressed their belief that the RSA is well situated to enter into the debate surrounding learning and skills in Scotland and should seek an appropriate role for the RSA as the education and skills debate develops. RSA Scotland is fortunate in having Fellows who are involved at all levels in relevant fields of education, skills development and employment and the range of different backgrounds across the Fellowship means that it can offer an interdisciplinary perspective.

The meeting will be taking place in Edinburgh on Thursday,12 February 2009 2:00-4:30pm. For more information, please contact Judith Friedman
