Science Beyond the Classroom Plenary Session at the DuPont Summit in Washington DC

Cecily Selby, FRSA, of New York University, and Alan Friedman, FRSA, former Director and CEO of the New York Hall of Science, joined with Paul Rich, FRSA, President of the Policy Studies Organization, to present proposals for improving STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) at the DuPont Summit at at the Carnegie Institution for Science in Washington DC on December 5, 2008.
This followed an earlier workshop on Science Beyond the Classroom held in New York on July 30.
The Dupont Summit was convened to discuss science and technology issues facing the incoming Obama administration and to set priorities for discovery and advance.
