RSA energy manifesto
Twenty-five professional bodies and non-governmental organisations have now signed a manifesto, fostered by the RSA, to help the government meet the UK’s 2020 energy targets.
Called the Energy 2020 National Action Plan, organisations from the National Farmers’ Union to the Energy Saving Trust have signed the agreement committing to a collaborative approach to achieve the targets.
Gabriel Berry, who co-ordinated the Energy 2020 project, said: “It is the emphasis on cross-sector thinking in our plan that will help to change the way we think about polemical issues such as biofuels.” The RSA and the Renewable Energy Association have submitted the Energy 2020 National Action Plan as a possible blueprint for how the UK will achieve its challenging renewable energy and energy-saving goals.
