City of the future
Thanks to a strategic alliance between the RSA, Peterborough City Council and the Arts Council England, Peterborough is launching a project that aims to develop a shared sense of citizenship.
The RSA will be working closely with residents, local service providers, voluntary groups and other stakeholders to develop an ambitious and inclusive model of future citizenship that can be implemented in the coming years.
Central to this model will be developing a strategic vision for the city, as well as finding creative solutions for increasing environmental and sustainable development.
“We will be experimenting with ideas and practical solutions for establishing a new model of citizenship in Peterborough that is genuinely innovative and citizen-focused,” explained Sam McLean, the new director of public participation at the RSA. “The
RSA’s mission is all about strengthening social and civic capacity in the UK for the collective good.”
