Highlights
The South West is a vibrant region with a number of established projects and a growing number of Fellows Networks taking place.
The region has a strong history of supporting and developing locally based projects. The Beer Quarry Caves has been a long standing project in the region which has very recently achieved a charitable status of its own. The South West has initiated projects in Heath and Social care and supported a venture fund for work placed apprenticeships.
The South West has also had a number of successful Catalyst projects awarded funding - CoBRA a scheme for recycling batteries and low energy light bulbs, Ecological Placeshaping in Plymouth and The Boden Project (engaged social creative practice) in Chard have all received funding.
There are a growing number of Fellows Networks in the region. The Exeter Fellows Network, hosted at the Devon and Exeter Institute, is a well attended, regular network event. In the next few months it is anticipated that networks will also begin to emerge in Taunton, Plymouth and Truro.
