How we might contribute to the debate on the future of Chelmsford Town Centre
22nd Jan 2009; 14:00
Writtle College has shown an interest in being involved with RSA Chelmsford in exploring ‘How we might contribute to the debate on the future of Chelmsford Town Centre’.
Jeff Logsdon, Head of the School of Design (WSD) at Writtle College, suggests that there are several areas in WDS, Landscape Architecture, new Fine Art and the Environment Programme and the centre (CADE) which could provide common ground in our exploration.
Jeff says, "We take a view of the arts, an environmental platform and a systems approach to our design and research projects. We intend to continue our engagement with Chelmsford through urban planning and design projects in the Urban Territory Studio, the countryside, coastal areas and London".
Various courses are running and planned on just the issues we have identified in our discussions. See www.writtle.ac.uk
There will be a tour and discussion, with refreshments ending by 4 p.m.
Please contact gladys.jones@virgin.net by Monday 19th January if you wish to attend.
