Towards a More Employable Scotland, an event in partnership with Careers Scotland

12th Jun 2008

Location: the Lighthouse, Mitchell Lane, Glasgow

Skills at all levels are vital for Scotland's economic performance; yet there are significant numbers of people not in work, training or education and there is evidence of under-employment amongst those in work. A keynote speech from Professor Alan McGregor, Director, Training and Employment Research Unit, University of Glasgow will be complemented by contributions from a panel of speakers with expertise across employment, education, skills and health.  Following this there will be solution-centred discussion groups with the task of identifying the key issues and new approaches and ways of working together to deal with them.

Tea/coffee will be available from 5.30pm and there will be a wine reception for more informal discussion and networking towards the end of the event.

Admission is free but by ticket only. Apply by 2 June 2008 by email to porrer@blueyonder.co.uk or by post to Robert Porrer, Chair RSA Scotland, 14 Queen's Crescent, Edinburgh EH9 2AZ, giving the following information: Name, Job Title/Role, Organisation, Email address, Postal address, and daytime telephone number.

Please also indicate if you do NOT wish any of this information to be included in the list of attendees and give details of any special dietary or access/assistance requirements.
