Lynn Broadbent, MBE
Lynn Broadbent, Fellowship Director, moved to Washington DC in 1979 to work at the World Bank. She took up her position with RSA in the United States in 1990. The RSA’s US launch was her baptism by fire as it tied in with the Royal visit for the Benjamin Franklin award ceremony honoring Sir David Attenborough at the Library of Congress. In 2002, Lynn was awarded an MBE (Member of the British Empire) by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for her services in promoting British arts and culture through her work for the RSA.
Lynn is a member of Dining For Women, an organization which improves living situations for women and their families in the third world and recently traveled to the Amazon region of Peru to visit pre-natal clinics. She is on the advisory board of Partners for Kids in Care (PFK), dedicated to improving the lives of children in foster care through innovative public/private collaboration. She draws on her background with horses to volunteer with a local therapeutic riding program. She and her husband have three sons and live in Virginia.
