Barbara Luce Ballard
Barbara Luce Ballard is a native Virginian. She graduated from Virginia Polytechnic
Institute and State University, Magna Cum Laude, with a BS in Finance.
Her work experience includes 10 years in private industry as the Chief
Account Officer of a Washington D.C. area homebuilder. Her involvement
with the non-profit sector began after the birth of her son in 1994,
when she became involved with the National Primary Immune Deficiency
Foundation (IDF). She currently serves on the IDF's Board of Trustees
and Executive Committee and independently operates an international
support group for families dealing with Severe Combined
Immunodeficiency (also known as Bubble Boy disease). She is the web
designer and technical developer for The Northern Virginia Cued Speech
Association. She, her husband Don, and their son live in rural Clifton,
Virginia.
