RSA United States Board appoints David Turner as President and CEO

At the December 16, 2011, Annual Meeting of the US Trustees, David Turner was appointed as President and CEO for a one year term. Peter Peyser has agreed to serve one more year as Chairman and Haris Hromic will serve as Treasurer. Lynn Broadbent continues to serve as Secretary to the Board in addition to her role as US Fellowship Director.

As reported elsewhere, David Turner co-founded the Southeast Fellowship Network centered in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He is committed to generating more opportunities for US Fellows, and to encourage closer ties between the US Fellowship and John Adam Street. He believes the collective talent and history of the RSA are the Fellowship’s great asset which should be leveraged for the benefit of all Fellows, but in particular younger Fellows. His own story as a Fellow is testament to the value of investing in young professionals.

Peter Peyser has served as Chairman during a transitional period for the RSA and the RSA-US. Despite difficult economic times, under his leadership RSA-US has continued to attract new Fellows and partners, established active local networks, and supported Fellows’ project development including four successful catalyst grant winners. Careful and strategic budgeting has ensured a healthy bottom line and a solid foundation for future growth. Haris Hromic looks forward to strengthening the organization’s financial position as Treasurer.

Continuing as trustees are Howard Learner and Henry Timms. The Board anticipates that 2012 will be a pivotal year for this organization and welcomes input from US Fellows. There is a lot of work to do to but many hands make light work. Let us know how we can help you achieve your goals as a Fellow.
