Charles Redfern pledges to support in the following way: well maybe "inspire" and maybe "enable" too but "support" is the closest - so I pledge to support organic, sustainable and fair products, particularly smaller businesses - authentic, artisan, local - that have been squeezed out by monopoly capitalism from a legitimate space in the marketplace. I would like to see organic business converge more with issues of social sustainability and also work to improve further the benefits organic agriculture has in terms of carbon footprint and climate change impact.

Shauna Chapman pledges to inspire in the following way: I operate a British eco ethical fashion label in South Devon called Quail. I import organic and Fairtrade cotton fabric from a rural community in India and then add value to that fabric within the UK by designing and manufacturing men's and women's clothing within Devon. I became a Fellow in 2009 because I think we are living in an age of necessary change and transition. I promote eco/Fairtrade/sustainability within the South West by visiting universities, colleges and schools and speaking to fashion students about Eco/Ethical Fashion. I answer queries from fashion students from all over the world and participate in eco/ethical fashion research. I commission fashion graduates to produce a garment for Quail's collection. I champion rural manufacturing. I'd like to see more fashion graduates actually working in creative industries and adding value to the British creative marketplace rather than working for exploitative high street brands or abandoning their talent all together.
