Government reports highlights RSA Education initiatives

News: 12 March 2010

Two of the RSA's education initiatives are highlighted as examples of excellent practice in driving personalisation in education. The Cabinet Office Report The Role of Third Sector Innovation: Personalisation of Education and Learning Services, released this week, includes reference to both The RSA's Opening Minds programme and the Whole Education movement (currently hosted at the RSA).

"This is an important recognition of the importance of the RSA’s user centred approach to public services, as well as its action oriented approach to policy change," says Louise Thomas, Education Researcher in the RSA Projects team.

The report, written by Anne McGuire MP, Cabinet Office Advisor on Third Sector Innovation, recognises the role of the third sector in delivering personalised learning opportunities, either in their own right, or in partnership with schools and colleges. It also highlights the important role the third sector plays in driving forward innovation in this sector, informing, supporting, shaping and stimulating service improvement and redesign.
