Fellows' facilities

The following facilities are at the disposal of RSA Fellows.  For more information about becoming a Fellow, contact the Fellowship department.

Stunning Georgian House

The RSA's House was designed by John Adam in the early 1770s.  It combines the best in classical and contemporary design to provide Fellows with an intellectual home and meeting place.

The House is just a two-minute walk from Embankment or Charing Cross stations.  Fellows and their guests are welcome Monday to Friday, from 8.30 to 22.00.  The House is closed at weekends, on public holidays and between Christmas and New Year.

Exclusive dining

The Vaults restaurant is in the atmospheric vaults of former warehouses on the riverfront. Fellows are welcome to bring up to five guests.  We recommend that you book at least 24 hours in advance.

The Vaults restaurant is open weekdays 12.15 to 14.00 and in the evenings on lecture nights.

Alternatively, call +44 (0)20 7930 5115 or email us with your booking request.

Evening drinks or an afternoon break in the Gerard Bar

The Gerard Bar is an ideal place for Fellows and their guests to eat and relax in informal surroundings.  You can use the bar for small social events and casual meetings where you can enjoy hot drinks and light meals and browse newspapers and periodicals.  Alcoholic drinks and bar snacks are available in the evening.

The Gerard Bar is open weekdays from 8.30 to 22.00 (last orders 21.30).

Library and archive

Our library stocks a wide selection of contemporary work relevant to our activities and history.  We provide state-of-the-art IT facilities, WiFi and a separate lounge for Fellows to read or talk.

The Library is open 8.00 to 20.00 every weekday.

The archive service gives you access to 250 years of RSA records. You can search the library and archive catalogues online and we can post library books and DVDs to you if you are not able to visit the House.

Meet and greet

The Fellows' Meeting Room is perfect for small meetings, interviews and brainstorming sessions.  It can accommodate up to five people and can be hired in these time slots: 9.00 - 11.00, 11.15 - 13.15, 13.30 - 15.30, or 16.00 - 18.00.
