The Boat that Rocked

Back on a sunny Sunday in June 2008 RSA House was invaded by retro rocking
shaggy haired revellers thanks to a location shoot for the new film The Boat That
Rocked.

The boat that rocked is a comedy film set in 1960s Britain. The film tells of the United
Kingdom pirate radio movement, which used a legal loophole to broadcast to
audiences of up to 25 million from ships anchored off the coast of the UK.

The film is written and directed by Richard Curtis and was made by Working Title Films for Universal Pictures.

The Boat That Rocked stars Philip Seymour Hoffman, Bill Nighy, Rhys Ifans, Emma Thompson, Nick Frost and Kenneth Branagh.

RSA House can be seen as a very uncanny No 10 Downing Street.

The location scene and full film is released in all major cinemas from 1 April and it
looks set to be a huge hit!
