Talking point
From now on, the RSA’s Annual General Meeting won’t just be business as usual. The meeting, which will be held on 7 October at RSA House, will be an opportunity to celebrate past achievements and discuss future plans. “We want to make the AGM a highlight of the annual calendar and make sure Fellows are fully involved,” said Belinda Lester, director of Fellowship.
The day will begin with an open house at 8 John Adam Street, featuring an interactive Fellowship exhibition that will also be available online and will show links between the RSA’s origins and its future plans for the Fellowship. New initiatives such as the Fellowship Council will be discussed at the AGM, which will be streamed live on the website along with the accompanying lecture by chairman Luke Johnson. Fellows throughout the UK and around the world will be able to ask questions via webchats and Twitter. Lester said: “This way, it doesn’t matter if you can’t be in the House – you can still be part of events.”
